An artistic ISFP stands in an art studio. They wear a yellow headband, yellow overalls, and hold a paint palette. One hand uses a paintbrush to add details to the artwork on an easel depicting a serene face. To the right, a potted plant sits below a window and a playful gray cat rubs against the legs of the easel. The bold yellow letters "ISFP" are prominently displayed to the left.

How to spot ISFPs (Adventurers):

ISFPs (Adventurers) share the Introverted, Observant, Feeling, and Prospecting personality traits.

They’ll go out of their way to support teammates they care about, and in return, they expect to be treated with the same level of respect and kindness. If they feel disrespected, unfairly criticized, or like their efforts are not being reciprocated or appreciated, they may become withdrawn and disengaged.

With 70% responding affirmatively, ISFPs are the most likely personality type to say they respect everyone who respects them. What does that mean for you as a leader? Showing your ISFP team members that you respect them through your actions – not just your words – will go a long way toward earning their respect in return.

In this article, we’ll explore exactly how to act in a way that ISFPs are highly likely to respect.

Today, we’ll cover:

  • ISFPs’ tendency to respect considerate feedback

  • Why your well-intentioned critique might be backfiring with ISFPs

  • A simple 3-step technique to help you win the respect of ISFPs on your team

  • How your personality shapes the way YOU think respect should be earned (if you're an ISFP leader)
