How to spot INTJs (Architects):

INTJs (Architects) share the Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging personality traits.

They’re unimpressed by titles, politics, and charm and instead believe that respect flows from ability. They’ll hold you to high expectations, telling you what you need (but not necessarily want) to hear. Respecting their candor, intellect, and need for independence will bring out their best.

Did you know that the vast majority – 87% – of INTJs say it’s more important to them to be respected than liked? That’s a pretty telling statistic about people with this personality type – especially if you’re leading INTJs. These logical and independent thinkers aren’t easily impressed, but with the right approach, you can earn their respect. Let’s dive into what makes INTJs tick and how you can adjust your leadership style to win them over.

Today, we’ll cover:

  • INTJs’ tendency to value earned respect – and what that means for you as a leader

  • The workplace impact of valuing achievement over status – and how it could affect your team

  • One key leadership strategy to help you win the respect of INTJs on your team

  • How your personality shapes the way you think respect should be earned (if you’re an INTJ leader)
