Building Respect with ENTP Personalities

An ENTP man wearing a purple jacket and pants stands in a room with a finger raised, exuding confidence. He is engaging another man in a debate, and that person is sweating and appears nervous. To their right, two monochrome people sit attentively in chairs, watching. Behind the ENTP man, the bold letters “ENTP” are prominently displayed on a large screen.

How to spot ENTPs (Debaters):

ENTPs (Debaters) share the Extraverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Prospecting personality traits.

They believe respect is earned through one’s intelligence and rationale, not necessarily their job title. If you can engage them in lively, intellectual discussions, keep up with their quick minds, and provide logical arguments, ENTPs are more likely to show respect and admiration.

Is compromising with others or standing up for yourself the better way to earn respect?

Well, if you’re asking ENTPs, they’re much more likely to say the latter. These quick-witted personalities are drawn to leaders who confidently share their opinions and stand by them, but are also open-minded and willing to change their minds when presented with convincing evidence.

Let’s see if your natural leadership approach is earning you the respect of your ENTP team members, shall we?

Today, we’ll cover:

  • ENTPs’ tendency to respect intellectual equality (and what this means for you as a leader)

  • The workplace impact of valuing intellectual equality (both the good and the bad)

  • A simple “What If” approach to help you win the respect of ENTPs on your team

  • How your personality shapes the way YOU think respect should be earned (if you’re an ENTP leader)
